What Kind of Mole is “The Piano-Playing Mole”?
Hello, everyone!
Nice to meet you; I’m The Piano-Playing Mole. As my name suggests, I’m a mole who plays the piano.
Today, I had a bit of a scare when I almost got caught by the owner of the field. You see, I’ve been getting a bit carried away lately, nibbling too much on the vegetables in the field. If they catch me next time, things might get quite troublesome.
Well, enough about my recent adventures—let’s get straight to the main topic.
This article is a casual introduction about me, so I’d be delighted if you could take a moment to read through it.
The Piano-Playing Mole’s Profile
Now, let me share a simple profile about myself in bullet points:☆ Favorite foods: Carrots, potatoes, daikon radishes—basically, I love all kinds of vegetables.
☆ Most respected person: Fujiko Hemming (pianist)
☆ Favorite composers: Chopin, Bach, Dvořák, …etc.
☆ Favorite pieces:
– String Quartet No. 12 “American” (Dvořák)
– Spanish Dance (Falla)
– Libertango (Piazzolla)
– Le Grand Tango (Piazzolla)
– Flower Festival (Andean folk song)
– El Cóndor Pasa (Andean folk song)
– Hungarian Rhapsody No. 12 (Liszt) …etc.
☆ Favorite quote: “We are only human” (by Mitsuo Aida)
I have so many favorite pieces of music that it’s impossible to list them all.
Of course, I love classical music like piano pieces, but I also enjoy rock, pop, and other popular genres, as well as international folk music. Among those, I especially love the traditional Andean folk genre called “folklore.”
Since I live in a field, my diet is mostly vegetable-based, but when it comes to music, I’m omnivorous. I enjoy all sorts of music from the comfort of my burrow.
The Piano-Playing Mole’s Thoughts on Music
Even though I’m just a mole—a creature that lives in the shadows—I believe my love for music is the same as everyone else’s.Music is something that anyone can enjoy, regardless of titles or ways of life. That’s what I believe.
When writing each article, I keep in mind the idea of “freedom and individuality in playing.” If my articles can help make your daily musical life even a little more enjoyable, I would be truly delighted.
Thank you very much for your kind support.
