Yuzu's Articles
Profile
Nice to meet you! My name is Yuzu.
I’m a not-so-young girl who loves pianos and toy poodles. (Haha)
I mainly write articles about how to practice piano pieces.
I’ve been playing the piano since childhood, continuing through university.
Even now, I enjoy casually playing my favorite pieces or revisiting songs I played in the past.
When I revisit pieces I played as a child, I often discover their beauty, which I hadn’t noticed back then. I also find myself amazed, thinking, “I can’t believe I managed to play such difficult pieces!” Piano truly has endless depth.
By the way, I also learned to play the Electone (electronic organ), but I’ve taken such a long break that I can barely play it anymore…
Still, thanks to my Electone lessons, I’ve come to love not only piano music but also orchestral pieces, pop, jazz, and film music from a variety of genres.
I have a deep admiration for string instruments, so I dream of taking up the violin or cello as a hobby in my later years.
I’m not sure if I’ll be able to learn to play them starting in old age, though. (Haha)
Music is something you can engage with for a lifetime, so you’ll never regret learning it.
When writing articles about practice methods, my motto is to make them clear and concise so that even beginners will feel encouraged to give it a try!
My favorite composers are Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms.
These are the so-called “Three Bs of German music.” (Haha)
Bach’s music has a divine quality that feels cleansing and uplifting.
Beethoven’s works have a wide range, from light and lively pieces reminiscent of Mozart to powerful and dramatic pieces in minor keys, which I love.
Brahms’s music might initially seem a bit gloomy (Haha), but within it, there’s incredibly beautiful harmony and melody. From piano pieces to orchestral works and string quartets, many of his compositions are stunning.
That’s why most of the articles I write will probably feature these three composers. (Haha)
If you’re a fan of the “Three Bs of German music,” I’d be delighted if you check out my articles!
I also have experience working in a music store selling pianos, so I completely understand the feelings of those who want to start playing the piano.
The piano can become a lifelong friend who will never let you down!
Whether you’re someone thinking about starting piano lessons or someone who stopped but wants to start again, I encourage you to take the first step!
